Yoga Therapy is based on the individual’s health concerns and goals. Therapeutic yoga tends to be gentler, making it more appropriate for those experiencing pain, chronic health issues and/or movement limitations. If needed, yoga therapy sessions can be done seated in a chair. A written summary of each session is provided for use at home.
People often find that 3 sessions, one or two weeks apart, work best for them to learn and practice their individually-designed practices. The fee is $75 for each 90 minute session.
Meditation and Yoga Nidra are specific therapeutic yoga practices that can be taught individually; to couples; or to a small group of family or friends. The fee varies based on number of people.

Reiki and Yoga therapy have done more for me in such a short period of time than years of counseling for anxiety and depression. Energy is all around us. Energy work has allowed me to start to heal on the inside and then create the space to let the energy flow out. Julie's understanding, acceptance and intuition before, during and after a session always leaves me feeling so much better and more clear. Julie developed and teaches a unique program for cancer survivors specifically tailored to their individual needs. She paid particular attention to those recovering from the long term effects of cancer treatment. Participants’ experiences and feedback were extremely positive. They achieved increased energy, better sleep patterns, increased range of motion, improved posture and deeper breathing and an overall improvement in their positive connection to their bodies. I sought out yoga therapy and Julie's help due to ongoing stress, grief, and physical recovery after my third c-section delivery. After one session of yoga therapy, I felt immediate, positive results in decreased stress, less tension, and pain relief. After years of Doctors not being able to help me with my problems I decided to try an alternative approach. I initially went to a class, but decided after 5 years of chronic pain I could use some individual sessions. Julie took time to listen and understand my problem and cause of pain. Over the next 4 months of private sessions, Julie taught me excellent tools on yoga breathing techniques that would help me lessen my pain and ease my angst. Julie can also incorporate reiki energy work with the yoga. During my time with Julie, my energy levels came up and I asked her to work with me on some more active types of yoga poses. She was able to create a routine just for me! I would not have imagined I could actually get to a place where I could do some of those poses, but Julie got me there. Further, Julie sends you a completed review of each session in an email with meditation and breathing techniques, and poses. This really helped me as I have some issues with memory. Julie’s knowledge, patience, professionalism and positive attitude far exceed my expectations. I first attended Julie's Beginning Level Yoga for Healing (group class) for stress reduction purposes and I learned a lot about body awareness, breathing, gentle stretching, and positive thinking. Because of that positive learning experience I attended Yoga Therapy. Julie took her time discussing my goals, creating a plan to meet those goals, and teaching me how to practice properly. After every yoga class and yoga therapy session with Julie my mind is clear and my body is relaxed, as if I’ve hit the “reset” button. I also sleep better and handle stress more positively which makes me a happier person. I highly recommend yoga classes and/or yoga therapy with Julie.
Excellent!!! I have chronic back and shoulder pain. I typically manage it through deep tissue massages once a month but this was no longer working. When I started treatment with Julie I was at an 8 out of 10 pain level with nauseating pain every two to three days. I went through 4 sessions with Julie and it has made a huge difference. I still have some pain but this is most likely occurring because I only do the yoga session 1-2 times per week on my own. 3-4 times per week would probably result in no pain. It has been two months since my last session and I am typically at a 0 to 1 pain level and have not peaked past a 4. The session not only helped with managing the immediate pain but it also helped me keep the pain reduced by giving me tools to use, including relaxation techniques that can be used at work or while driving, I would highly recommend Julie's customized services for pain, flexibility, and general well-being.
Julie was great to work with. She took the time to evaluate where I was at and we worked into exercises over three yoga therapy sessions that brought increasing stability to help with the pain I was experiencing. I was surprised by how quickly I started to see results.
